Larter was featured on a variety of films during her time as a cast member of Heroes. Her pay was seven figures for her first Bollywood movie Marigold. The film received mostly negative feedback. Also, she starred as Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Extinction. The third film of the cult film series based off of Capcom games. She appeared as Claire Redfield, based on a video game character with similar name. The film was a huge box office hit, doubling the production budget despite being an absolute failure. Larter also appeared in the comedy about cavemen Homo Erectus which was released directly-to-DVD. In the film, she co-starred with Hayes MacArthur, an actor who she planned to get married . Larter appeared in Obsessed alongside Beyonce, Idris and Idris. The film opened as the top film at the box office, however it got a mixed reception as some critics were comparing it similar to Fatal Attraction . This was also the year that Larter and MacArthur tied the knot in a tiny ceremony in Maine, among the guests included Larter's friend Amy Smart. They have two kids.
