Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford) is an American British guitarist, singer, and songwriter. She was the on the lead guitar of The Runaways - a hard rock group comprised mostly females in the mid-70s. It was not possible for the group to be a major hit in America but they gained much popularity throughout the world, especially Japan. Following the split of the group in 1979, Ford embarked upon a lucrative solo career in heavy metal. Ford began vocal training and then released her debut album as a solo artist, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin' on the Edge'. Her albums weren't very well-received, and so she went under the radar for a couple of years. She disappeared from the world of music for couple of years following her brief success. Her return came when she released 'Black' in 1995, followed by 'Wicked wonderland' 15 years later.
