Ruth Roman, 75, who was famous for her enthralling mix of sexiness, purity and fame during the 1950s and 1940s in Hollywood was pronounced dead on Thursday at her Laguna Beach, Calif. house. Her death was asleep, as per her son, Richard Hall. Warner Brothers offered her nine starring roles within two years following her breakout performance in Stanley Kramer's "Champion,' a 1949 adaptation written by Ring Lardner of a mad prizefighter short story. On one occasion, she leapt from appearing alongside Bette Davis in "Beyond The Forest'' to playing Milton Berle in ''Always Leave Them Laughing.'' After having a part in 'Strangers On a Train in which she starred opposite Robert Walker she was recruited to play Steve Cochran in the film 'Tomorrow is A Different Day.
